GRAM FLOUR (BESAN)
Gram flour or besan, is a pulse flour made from a variety of ground chickpea known as Bengal gram. It is a staple ingredient in Indian, Pakistani, Nepali and Bangladeshi cuisines. Gram flour can be made from either raw or roasted gram beans.
Besan is generally made from the Chickpeas/Channa which is dried and then powdered into Besan. Since Chana Dal is split form of de-skinned Chickpeas. It can also be powdered and used as Besan.
