PEANUT BLANCHED
Main Process of Blanching
A) Heat Treatment
Once we selected the peanuts parcels to blanch, we go into a furnace with determined temperature and maximum preset time. This process aims to reduce grain moisture, so the skin can be removed easily in subsequent stages.
B) Blanching
This stage involves the removal of the skin that covers the peanuts. The grains from the furnace go through the peelers, which have rollers cover with abrasive material allowing the skin extraction.
C) Electronic Selection
This step consists in the removal of damaged grains, with remaining of attached skin and foreign material, by a grain comparison with the standard colour parameter.
D) Final Inspection
Peanuts from the electronic selection enter a final inspection by human factor specialists, minimizing the foreign material that may go into the finished products.
E) Detection and Rejection of Metals
Peanuts go through a metal detector that performs the separation of metal, removing them to a rejected flow.
F) Packaging of Final Product
The big bag packaging process is made in the production line by direct filling of gravity action. It can also be packaged bags. Blanched peanuts are ready for export.
